April 24th and 25th, 2026 mark the 1st annual BALTIMORE FILM FESTIVAL & SCREENPLAY COMPETITION (BAFF).
The mission is to celebrate cinema, for the artists to have launch pads for their careers and for the audience to discover new voices.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Film screenings: Selected films will play before a live Baltimore audience.
Networking: Casual meetups, authentic connections, no expensive mixers.
Awards: Laurels for the official selections and awards for the Best: Feature, Short, Documentary, Maryland Film, Director, Performance, Cinematography and Editing.
For the screenplay competition, there will be quarterfinalists, semifinalists and 1 winner.
All winners will be listed on IMDb.
Feedback Option: A filmmaker will give thorough and honest comments for the development of the project.
THE GUARANTEE: This is a meritocracy. The festival was created by a filmmaker himself, Paulo Pérez, who is well-aware of the festival circuit. Every submission is watched/read with care. Every award is earned.
